Natalie Portman was (very) hot. In the middle of filming the series “Lady in the Lake”, in Baltimore in the United States, she and her team were death threats. When fiction becomes reality… Because in this new project inspired by the novel by Laure lippman, the actress who has already ridiculed Camille Lellouche plays the role of Maddie Schwartz, a mother who embarks on investigative journalism after a murder not elucidated. The cause of these threats? A shoot in the city center that would disturb the inhabitants…
“On the set of our ‘Lady in the Lake’ production in Baltimore on Friday afternoon, before the cast and crew arrived, a driver from our production crew was confronted by two men, one of whom brandished a gun in the direction of our driver, then they fled the scene”, the series producer Endeavor Content said in a statement. While the local newspaper Baltimor Banner also reveals that the evildoers have “affirm that if they didn’t stop filming they would come back and shoot somebody“. To top it off, the magazine states that “drug dealers tried to extort $50,000 to the production, a sum that the producers refused to pay.”
“We are working with the Baltimore Police Department and an investigation is ongoing. The safety and security of our crew, cast, and everyone who works on our productions is our top priority, and we are pleased that no injured. Production will resume with heightened security measures. It was a privilege to shoot “Lady in the Lake” in Baltimore and to work with its vibrant community in so many areas. We thank the City of Baltimore, Mayor Brandon M. Scott, the Baltimore Film Office, the Maryland Film Office and the Baltimore Police Department for their incredible support”, continued Endeavor Content in its press release. Natalie Portman had a narrow escape, we hope that the rest of the filming will take place in better conditions.
