Would the future candidate for the 2022 presidential election be a tad kleptomaniac on the edges? Definitely yes because, if this is not the first time that he has been caught leaving without paying in a store, this time his petty theft has finally been made public.
As certainly almost every Sunday, this February 27, Éric Zemmour went to the Bon Marché, in the 7th district of Paris. One of the most exclusive department stores in the capital, to do some shopping. But, as Le Canard Enchaîné points out, once he arrived at the checkout, the politician finally decided not to pay the bill.
He goes through the automatic cash register… Without paying
As the newspaper explains, the presidential candidate went to the automatic cash register, scanned his articles, but then fled without paying his unfortunate 38.80 euros. And without anyone realizing it. It was only in the evening, after the store closed, that the staff realized that there was no money in the tills when checking the tills. To find the problem, and the culprit, the security manager then decided to view the surveillance cameras. Amazement, the culprit is none other than Éric Zemmour.
Once notified, the politician immediately sent a police officer in charge of his protection to pay the bill. Questioned by the Chained Duck, the latter pleads a “oversight“, “There is no incident. It is pointless. I simply forgot to pay. I left like this. The next day, one of the police officers in charge of my security went to pay 38 euros and something. I reimbursed my policeman by giving him 40 euros and told him to keep the change”. But for the management of Le Bon Marché, this is not the first time that this has happened… Last year, precisely,He had been stopped short by a security guard and forced to pay the bill.” Warning !
