The work of the AFSP is to restore all the emotion that a work of art can convey. In Montignac, in the reproduction workshop, artists specializing in facsimiles concentrate on reproducing works identically, which will endure to be admired by future generations. The work of the expert team allows us to appreciate the works of our ancestors, without damaging the original work. For their work on Lascaux IV, they used the same gestures as prehistoric men, the same natural pigments, which resulted in a result similar to that of their predecessors. Creations made with attention to the smallest detail. The result is felt as much in the quality of the materials reproduced as in the colors, tints, all in the original proportions. A spectacular and meticulous copy job that is intended to be solid and durable over time. This silversmith’s work was also carried out for the engravings in the Lascaux cave.
