Terrebonne | A motorcyclist loses control and dies in an accident

(Terrebonne) A motorcyclist who lost control of his vehicle died in an accident in Terrebonne, in Lanaudière, early Sunday evening.

Around 5:30 p.m., the Terrebonne/Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines/Bois-des-Filion intermunicipal police department went to rue des Migrateurs regarding an accident involving a motorcycle. According to initial information, the driver lost control and fell on the road.

The motorcycle was traveling eastbound on rue des Migrateurs when the driver lost control of his motorcycle for an as yet unknown reason.

Unfortunately, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. He was alone on his motorcycle and no other vehicle was involved.

Investigators and an accident scene technician were dispatched to the scene to meet witnesses and better understand the causes of the accident. All hypotheses are considered for the moment.

Rue des Migrateurs is closed eastbound, between the ramps of Highway 640 West and Rue de Bruant.
