The essential
Tens of 2022
For a 3e consecutive year, Isabelle Racicot makes a Barbara Walters of herself by presenting the winners of the 10 personalities of the year in Quebec. Some are known, others less so. Their point in common? They have hit the headlines over the past 12 months and have inspired, challenged or challenged us. So far, we know the identity of two of them: the singer Jeanick Fournier, big winner of Canada’s Got Talent in the spring, and Hugo Houle, the first Quebec cyclist to win a stage in the Tour de France. The bets are off on the eight other choices, which will be commented on by Martine St-Victor, communications strategist, and Jean-Philippe Pleau, sociologist.

The surprise
LOL: Who will have the last laugh?
We found the English-Canadian version moderately convincing. Surprise ! The Quebec adaptation is much more successful. At least that’s what we conclude after watching its first three episodes. The rules remain the same: ten comedians spend six hours locked up together with the sole objective of making others laugh without laughing themselves, on pain of being eliminated. Patrick Huard really seems to be enjoying his role as host, while Yves P. Pelletier, Laurent Paquin, Rachid Badouri, Marie-Lyne Joncas, Mathieu Dufour, Arnaud Soly, Richardson Zéphir, Édith Cochrane, Virginie Fortin and Christine Morency suffer martyrdom to curb the slightest smile. Non-disclosure detail: the first person who takes the door is not the one we expected…

The novelty
When the walls fall
Another renovation program for Mathieu Baron. This time, the actorIndefensible is interested in couples who undertake major work, a particularly rich subject since according to a statistic that it provides at the start, 30% separate during or after their refurbishment project. Six tandems agreed to be followed during their steps, from the elaboration of a plan to the final product. At each stage, they will receive the help of a designer, the endearing (and very expressive) Paule Bourbonnais. Fans of the genre will love When the walls falla simple but effective series that shows things as they are, without asking participants to overplay certain sequences to create fake moments of tension.
CASA, from Tuesday, at 8 p.m.
The roll of the dice

The American version of In the eye of the dragon receives a distinguished guest this week: Gwyneth Paltrow. The ex-actress turned businesswoman and guru of lifestyle thanks to Goop, the wellness brand she founded in 2008, is making her first appearance on the ABC network show. According to our information, she will sit alongside the regular dragons – or rather sharks: Barbara Corcoran, Mark Cuban, Lori Greiner, Robert Herjavec, Daymond John and Kevin O’Leary. Did the Oscar-winning actress for Shakespeare in Love will invest a large sum of money in one of the projects that will be presented during the hour? That remains to be seen.
