The last
Club Soly
We haven’t been super faithful to the Club Soly this season. And yet, we reveled in each of the excerpts we caught on Twitter or Facebook. Double sequestrationLouis-José Houde as a comedian of the 1990s, Katherine Levac as coach of children, Destiny’s Mom, Marc Labrèche, leader of the Republican Party of Quebec, Brainstorm with Stéphane Rousseau… We shared these videos with the enthusiasm of a candidate forOD who opens a can of Shaker. To close this second season, Arnaud Soly rallies his talented accomplices to offer a special holiday season show, which will certainly include some viral clips.
Noovo, Monday, at 7:30 p.m.
The safe bet
Together for the holidays with Roch Voisine
If you’re not yet in the holiday spirit, this special show hosted by Roch Voisine should take care of it… If only for the huge Christmas tree stuffed with decorations that sits next to the fireplace . Recorded at the singer’s cottage in Saint-Alexis-des-Monts, Quebec, and produced by Luc Sirois (Live from the universe, Masked singers), this show alternates between second-hand songs and interview bits during which Voisine and her guests, including Les Hay Babies, reminisce about their childhood Christmases. Highlight: when Luc De Larochellière grabs his guitar to offer so fragilethis superb ballad from 1990 which, surprisingly, fits perfectly into the line-up, even devoid of bells.
TV5, Saturday, at 8 p.m.
The novelty
The rumor machine
After Loto-MenoVéronique Cloutier takes us elsewhere with this documentary series of three one-hour episodes in which she explores our relationship to gossip. The rumor machine includes several good moments, such as when the host — kindly — confronts Simon Waddell, the founder of QC Scoop (formerly OD Scoop), a site with questionable methods, shall we say. We also remember the host’s interview with Denis Pantis, a Quebec record producer who often had to invent stories to feed artistic magazines and promote his artists and, above all, this astonishing statistic: we gossip on average 50 minutes a day .

The roll of the dice
The great well-cooked ComediHa!
Because we are a good audience for the often caustic and politically incorrect humor of the well-done, we will certainly take a look at the four new roasts offered by ComediHa! : those of Normand Brathwaite, Michel Barrette, Martin Matte and Cathy Gauthier, respectively led by Laurent Paquin, Gildor Roy, Fabien Cloutier and Jean-François Mercier. According to the trailer circulating on the internet, these mocking tributes will be less brutal than those broadcast on Comedy Central in the United States, during which the guests take it for their cold. However, we hope to be offended a few times by saying: “Did he/she really say that? ! ? »
