The Last of Us Part 1

Completely re-mastered with Naughty Dog’s new studio engine, it now offers two modes: Fidelity (40fps, native 4K) and Performance (60fps, dynamic 4K). The improvement is obvious: the texture of objects, shadows and, above all, character traits are better defined. The player who already owns the enhanced version for PS4, on the other hand, has little interest in paying an additional $89.99.

Snapchat

Initially reserved for Apple users, the new dual camera function on Snapchat allows filming with the front and rear cameras at the same time.

The announcement of the loss of 1,200 jobs at Snapchat’s parent company this week overshadowed the launch of a rather impressive new feature: the dual camera. Initially reserved for Apple users, this function allows you to film simultaneously with the front and rear cameras. The two images can be layered vertically, horizontally, mortise, or blended into each other. The possibilities are endless: for example, you can place yourself in the center of a discussion between two people or show a dish while tasting it. The function will be offered “in a few months for the more fragmented market of Android devices”, it was explained to The Press.

REDMAGIC 7S Pro

Surprisingly powerful for its price, designed entirely for gaming with its internal fan, angular icons and luminous lines on the back, the REDMAGIC phone got a little upgrade last month, with the release of the 7 S model. Pro. Its new Snapdragon 8+Gen1 processor, its maximum RAM from 16 to 18 GB and its improved cooling system make it even more efficient, according to our Geekbench 5 benchmark tests, for a similar price. Not everyone will appreciate its clumsy, bumpy design, and the French interface is still sloppy, but gamers will love its touchscreen with a 960 Hz sampling rate and its red button reserved for video games. Our rating: 4.5 out of 5.
