In a duel where the defense is often forgotten, 121 shots from three points were attempted. The one who is most recognized for this facet of the game, Stephen Curry, was particularly delighted, converting 16 of his 27 attempts. He contributed greatly to the gains of his team, with 50 points. This performance also earned him the title of MVP of the game.
Giannis Antetokounmpo also left his mark in the win, with 30 points, while James pleased his former Cleveland supporters with 24 points. Among other things, he managed the last throw of the game, at the sound of the bell.
In the opposing camp, Durant was not in uniform, due to an injury. It was therefore Joel Embiid who took over by scoring 36 points.
Before the game, the NBA also marked its 75th anniversary by honoring the 76 greatest players in league history, including some of the biggest names, like Michael Jordan and James.
