What solutions to keep the children during the teachers’ strike, Thursday January 13? Many parents ask themselves the question. In nursery and primary schools, there are 75% of strikers. This does not facilitate the task in the municipalities, as in Verneuil-sur-Seine either. (Yvelines).

In Verneuil-sur-Seine (Yvelines), the mayor tried to find a solution on the eve of the teachers’ strike scheduled for Thursday, January 13, but the school will unfortunately remain closed. Normally, the town hall must provide a minimum reception service for students in the event of a strike. It will not be possible, because of VSovid-19 and the sanitary protocol, which requires avoiding the mixing of students.Unfortunately, tomorrow (…) if we all got down to it, there wouldn’t be enough of us. (…) We don’t have this staff“, comments the mayor, Fabien Aufrechter.

Only two establishments will therefore be open, out of the nine in the municipality. A real headache for parents. When we have the children at home, to work, it’s not easy“, confides a mother. A minimum reception service will be provided, but only for the children of caregivers.
