A week after a video was posted on social media showing her hitting a crying 3-year-old student at a nursery school in the 15th arrondissement of Paris, the teacher was taken into police custody on Monday, September 16.
A 3-year-old girl was hit by her teacher in a school located in the 15th arrondissement of Paris on Tuesday, September 3. The footage shows the student falling and then getting up again. She then calls her mother and runs to the exit door. It was her very first day at nursery school. The teacher then sprays cold water on her face. A parent filmed the scene before leaving the classroom.
The teacher was summoned on Monday, September 16, and placed in police custody. The parents had filed a complaint on September 5 for aggravated violence against a vulnerable person. A second complaint was filed on Friday, September 13 against the teacher by another parent of a student, for acts dating back to 2012. The teacher is suspected of having slapped a 3-year-old boy.
