TASTE OF OLD
A snack that has enchanted more than one! Chocolate butter on bread? Nothing better! Provided that the bread is excellent, that the butter is of good quality as well as the chocolate!
Talking about our childhood snacks with Françoise Carayol from “La Ferme au Village” in Lautrec in the Tarn, we remembered these buttered sandwiches sprinkled with grated chocolate for one and powdered for the other… So Françoise had the idea of including them on the menu of his inn and it is a hit! You just have to look at the eyes of the customers when they see the sandwiches pass by! Children’s eyes…greedy children!
Per person :
2 nice slices of country bread
2 tsp soft butter
2 tbsp dark chocolate, grated or powdered
For decoration, 1 tsp grated or powdered chocolate
In a plate, crush the butter so that it becomes an ointment. Stir in the 2 tbsp of chocolate until you obtain a homogeneous preparation. Place in the fridge for 10 minutes then spread the bread with this chocolate butter, sprinkle with the remaining teaspoon to decorate and…enjoy! Nice kitchen to all, Régine
