It’s a victory awaited for months. A collective of 2,500 elderly people denouncing the effects of global warming climatic on their health, took Switzerland to court, and won the case on Tuesday April 9. Me Cordelia Bähr, lawyer of “Elders for climate protection”the collective at the origin of the complaint, welcomed “a historic day”with emotion. “The European Court of Human Rights has ruled that the rights of ‘Elders for climate protection’ have been violated”the lawyer rejoiced to the press.

For Greta Thunberg, “this is only the beginning”

Environmental activist Greta Thunberg herself came to attend the event.
