Sweden won, on the night of Saturday May 13, the 67th edition of Eurovision, with its title Tattooscarried by the singer Loreen. France, represented by La Zarra, finished 16th. The artist was particularly disappointed by this result, while the bookmakers predicted a place near the Top 5.

With this title, Sweden equals Ireland’s record of victories in the competition and its seven successes. The result came late in the evening, after an interminable suspense, by combining the points awarded by the jury and those of the public. After the artists’ flamboyant performances, the public voted on Saturday evening to decide which country will win the Eurovision Song Contest, hosted by the United Kingdom in Liverpool on behalf of defending champions Ukraine.

The 26 artists threw all their forces into battle, from the Italian Marco Mengoni, who in a sparkling tank top, finished his performance, the microphone trembling with emotion, to La Zarra, Quebecer representing France, perched on a column several meters above the ground. France has not won since 1977 with Marie Myriam.
