A woman was found dead in a home in the Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie district on Sunday evening.
The Montreal City Police Service (SPVM) was called to a home on Bourbonnière Avenue, near Laurier Avenue, in the early evening.
When they arrived on scene, the police located an unresponsive woman on the ground with signs of violence. His identity has not yet been confirmed.
“Unfortunately, his death was noted on the scene,” said Caroline Chèvrefils, spokesperson for the SPVM.
A man was also inside the home.
Considered an “important witness”, he will be met by investigators in order to determine “his possible involvement in the event”, she added.
A security perimeter has been erected and the investigation continues.
