A man was found dead on Friday evening in a dwelling in the borough of Rosemont–La-Petite-Patrie.
Police officers from the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) responded to a call made to 911 around 9 p.m., concerning a lifeless 71-year-old man in a building located on 4th Avenue between Masson and Dandurand streets. His death was pronounced on the spot.
The causes of death remain unknown for the moment, but they may be suspicious events, said Jeanne Drouin, spokesperson for the SPVM.
The police do not have much information at the moment, but there would be possible signs of violence or injuries.
A security perimeter was set up during the night, and SPVM investigators went on site to analyze the scene and try to understand the circumstances surrounding this event.
