(London) Susie Wolff, director of the F1 Academy reserved for women drivers and wife of the boss of the Mercedes Formula 1 team, announced on Wednesday that she had filed a complaint against the International Automobile Federation (FIA) due to an investigation opened against her at the end of last year.
Susie and Toto Wolff have been the subject of investigations by the FIA to determine whether they were at the center of a potential conflict of interest. Two days after announcing this procedure, the FIA indicated in early December that this was not the case.
The Formula One company, which manages the F1 world championship, and Mercedes, who categorically rejected the accusations against the Wolff couple, have expressed their dissatisfaction with the handling of the case by the FIA.
In a message posted at the time on her social networks, Susie Wolff wrote that the allegations against her amounted to “intimidation and misogyny”.
She confirmed on Wednesday that she had “filed a complaint against the FIA in her personal name before the French courts (the FIA headquarters is in Paris, Editor’s note) on March 4 in relation to the statements made about her by the FIA last December.
