After the death of a 30-year-old man in Argences (Calvados), on the night of Wednesday October 26 to Thursday October 27, a 36-year-old man was indicted for murder this Saturday morning, October 29, and remanded in custody.
The respondent admitted to being the author of the fatal stabbing, during an argument against a backdrop of alcohol. “He explained that he felt threatened by the victim, in the context of a physical confrontation at the end of the evening“, explains the public prosecutor of Caen, Amélie Cladière.
The suspect on the run Thursday
This argument took place on the sidelines of a party, in a building in Argences. Despite attempts by paramedics to resuscitate the victim, the man could not be rescued and died at the scene.
The alleged perpetrator of the fatal blow then fled, before being apprehended by the police on Thursday, October 27. This man is known to justice for drug offenses and traffic offences.
