Sunday is Metz day for OGC Nice

Even if football is the sport of miracles, the Aiglons will pray this Sunday so that it does not take place in Saint-Symphorien. The Messins have won only two games in 2021 at home, only one this season (against Lorient 4-1) and occupy the bottom of the ranking regarding home performances with only seven points taken (like St-Etienne). Quite the opposite of the Gym, very inspired far from its bases. With 22 points on the road, Nice dominates the ranking of the best away teams.

Undefeated in 2022 the Aiglons can even chain a fifth success in a row in the league and recover their runner-up spot, stolen on Saturday evening by OM who won in Lens (2-0). But the Gym must remember the first leg. Despite statistics very largely in favor of the Nice, the Grenats won 1-0 at the Allianz Riviera on a goal from Centonze. Since then, the Messins have won only twice out of the seven games played but remain on a crucial victory in Reims (1-0) in the race to maintain.

Very diminished Metz

Deprived of nine players, FC Metz is advancing very diminished towards the Aiglons who will have to do without the services of Justin Kluivert, suspended for this meeting. Melvin Bard and Morgan Schneiderlin are back in the group, while Mario Lemina and Youcef Atal, just returned from the CAN this week. The Brazilian Danilo Barbosa is also included in this expanded group unveiled by the club.
