Following the sudden death of her big sister in 2019, Vanessa Philippe writes and composes a new album. In contrast to the feeling of mourning, she imagines very pop arrangementswith a tendency to electro with virtual instruments.
Also dancer, choreographer and videographershe staged herself with a goldfish to develop her universe in a series of clips and thus produced a trilogy for her first three singles, “Suivre le Soleil”, “Les Maux” and “Soudain les Oiseaux”.
Halfway between dream and reality, in 12 titles, Vanessa gravitates in a parallel world where she describes her feelings. Always on a metaphorical background, his texts are poetic and melancholy, in contrast with the instruments chosen, reflections of his sister’s joie de vivre.
The album ends with the song “Paradise”, like a return to reality, appeasement despite everything.
