It’s the hero’s return. French astronaut Thomas Pesquet returned to Earth on the night of Monday 8 to Tuesday 9 November, after six months in space. On the deck of the SpaceX ship, the Frenchman and his three teammates were finally able to get out of the capsule, an hour after landing. Inside, a smiling and healthy crew.
Barely outside, Thomas Pesquet reassured the doctor, with a joyful gesture which signifies that he is in great shape, that morale is good. However, after six months of weightlessness, the astronaut was unable to get up. Transferred to Houston (United States), Thomas Pesquet will soon join the European space center in Cologne (Germany), where his rehabilitation to Earth will be observed. Then, the astronaut will be entitled to a few weeks of well-deserved vacation!
