Thirteen departments are still, Wednesday, September 7, on orange storm alert. In the Bouches-du-Rhône, the Alpilles were hit by torrential rains.

A raging river that overflows its bed. It only took a few hours for the water to cover everything. In Maussane-les-Alpilles (Bouches-du-Rhone)Wednesday, September 7, total rain exceeded 150 mm in places. After the torrential rains, the streets were covered in mud. It has even infiltrated everywhere among certain inhabitants.

A stationary storm circulated in the Alpilles. Two kilometers away, motorists were trapped. A couple met by France 2 failed to return to their home. “The gate got stuck due to the power of the water”laments the resident. The firefighters had to intervene a dozen times in the department. On Wednesday evening, the thunderstorms continue their crossing. Hail also fell in the Loire and the Rhône. The next few hours will be difficult.
