For the fourth time in its history, Dole welcomes the Tour de France: the start of the 8th stage is given in the Jura city this Saturday July 9, direction Lausanne in Switzerland. Find in our article all the practical information on traffic and parking.
Stage start times
- Signature runners: from 11:55 a.m. to 12:55 p.m. on the Champ de Fêtes esplanade
- The caravan advertising : fictitious departure at 11:05 a.m., real at 11:20 a.m.
- The runners : fictitious departure at 1:05 p.m., real at 1:20 p.m.
Dole celebrates the Tour and celebrates in 2022 the bicentenary of the birth of Louis Pasteur. On the program: 3h30 of entertainment on the Tour podium, avenue de Lahr.
The parking
Prohibited parking zones:
- From Thursday July 7 at 8 p.m. to Sunday July 10 morning: Avenue de Lahr, car parks avenue de Lahr and Pasquier, rue Georges and Victor-Thévenot.
- From Thursday July 7 at 8 p.m. to Saturday July 9 afternoon : Avenue Eisenhower (from place Grévy to the roundabout on boulevard des frères Lumière), Saint-Mauris car park, avenue Jean-Jaurès, allée Jean-Monnet.
- From Friday July 8 at 6 p.m. to Saturday July 9 afternoon: Avenue de la Paix, place Grévy, rue du 21january.
If you live on lanes where parking is prohibited and you are used to parking your vehicle there, you will need to move it before the days and times indicated.
Whether you live on one of the routes taken by the Tour de Francethe city of Dole specifies that “your vehicles will not be able to move between 10 am and 2 pm”. If you are used to parking a vehicle in these streets, it will always be possible, but make sure that it does not encroach on the roadway.
Traffic prohibited
The starting meeting and the fictitious start take place on the esplanade of the Champ de fête. The actual start is planned on the D405, in the “Les Barraques” district. Traffic will be prohibited:
- From Friday, July 8, 8 p.m. to Saturday, July 9, afternoon : Avenue Eisenhower (between Place Grévy and Boulevard des frères Lumière).
- From Saturday July 9 6 a.m. to Sunday July 10 morning : Avenue de Lahr, rue Georges and Victor-Thévenot, Pont Jean-Jaurès.
- Saturday July 9 from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Avenue de la Paix, place Grévy, rue du 21 Janvier, avenue Jean-Jaurès, alley Saint-Mauris, alley Jean-Monnet.
- Saturday July 9 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. : On all the streets crossed by the stage: Grande-Rue, rue du Vieux Château, rue des Arènes, avenue Duhamel, Rd Point Appel du 18 juin, Pont de la Corniche, Rd Point des Droits de l’Homme, rue du General Béthouart, rue Alexis-Cordienne, place des Templiers, Avenue du Maréchal-Juin to the Dole exit towards Parcey.
