star-studded red carpet for Martin Scorsese, Leonardo Dicaprio and Robert de Niro

The crowd waited for long hours near the Palais des Festivals in Cannes (Alpes-Maritimes), Saturday May 20, for a few seconds with Leonardo Dicaprio, present for the presentation of Martin Scorsese’s latest film, Killers of the Flower Moon, in which he shares the poster with Robert de Niro. A passing of the torch between the director’s two favorite actors. “He was always a great example for me of what an actor should be and I learned a lot from him. (…) To be able to work with Mr. Scorsese, Mr. de Niro, to work together, it’s really an honor for me”marvels Leonardo Dicaprio.

The director’s latest feature is dark and violent about Native American murders in 1920s America and will hit theaters in October. Between Martin Scorsese and Cannes, it’s a long love story that began in 1976 with Taxi Driver, palme d’or, of which Robert de Niro is already the headliner.
