Émily Bégin, Véronic DiCaire and Pierre Lapointe join the next season of Star Academy. TVA revealed the news on Tuesday.
The trio will be part of the show’s teaching staff, with Garou, who will serve as director, and Lara Fabian, who will take on the role of godmother. Former academic Émily Bégin will teach dance to the new candidates. She will also be their sports teacher. Impersonator and singer Véronic DiCaire will teach singing to the young candidates, and Pierre Lapointe will be their music teacher.
The 2025 edition of Star Academy will be hosted by Jean-Philippe Dion, who also produces the show through Productions Déferlantes (The voice, Masked singers).
Aspiring singers aged 16 to 30 have until August 18 to register for the competition auditions, which will be supervised by Émilie Fournier (content producer), singer Andréanne A. Mallette and performer and vocal coach Marie-Eve Riverin.
