During the evening of July 14, the organizers of the Francofolies de La Rochelle had reserved a little surprise for the thousands of spectators present at Saint Jean d’Acre. At the end of the Hoshi concert and before that of Juliette Armanet, Gérard Pont, the director of the festival, welcomed on stage Jean-Louis Foulquier: the president of the Stade Rochelais Vincent Merling and some players of the team including Grégory Alldritt , Dany Priso and Pierre Popelin. They held up the Champion’s Cup trophy in front of a cheering crowd who chanted “Here, here, it’s La Rochelle”.

The famous slogan “Here, here, it’s La Rochelle” had already resounded the day before in the enclosure of Saint Jean d’Acre during Mika’s hot show.
