Montreal is experiencing a “serious supply problem” which prevents it from replacing its numerous “outdated” police vehicles at the planned pace, the elected official responsible for the file said on Monday.
Maja Vodanovic explained to the municipal council that Ford Canada is unable to deliver the 225 patrol cars promised to the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) in 2024.

Maja Vodanovic indicated that the City turned to Dodge to purchase 80 Charger model vehicles. They will soon be equipped with the necessary police equipment.
The elected official was questioned by opposition elected official Abdelhaq Sari. The latter denounced the “mismanagement” of the City in this matter. “It is a haphazard management which lacks proactivity, which lacks transparency. »
