Soprano takes a crowd bath in Lyon and prepares his stadium tour

Marseille rapper Soprano was in Lyon on April 20 to meet his audience and prepare for his big concert at the Groupama Stadium in Décines, where the Olympique Lyonnais football team usually plays. On June 11, Soprano will be on the lawn for the first concert of his four-date tour in French stadiums.

An event that is already the subject of a major advertising campaign in Lyon. Some trams in the metropolis are covered with posters bearing the image of Soprano and his “star hunter” tour.

On Wednesday, the artist entered Unexpectedly in a train and discussed freely with users surprised to see him disembarking between the ticket counter and the seats.

Soprano says he is happy to walk around freely in the city. “You can often meet me in a park with children or doing my shopping. I’m not narcissistic. I need to be with people, to be far from the star system”. A confidence that undoubtedly mixes a part of sincerity with a well thought out communication operation.

The fans are thrilled. “It was quite a surprise to see him here. He is very pleasant. He was the one who came to us”, says one of them. At Confluence station, everyone gets off. Outside, dozens of well-informed young people await the rapper.

A popular success which is also reflected at the box office. Nearly 40,000 seats have already left for the June 11 concert. Direct contact with the public, Soprano loves that. “I’m from the generation that made a name for itself thanks to the stage, not thanks to the Internet. I’ve really been to a lot of small venues, small clubs. Psy 4 of Rime, we did everything. So I’ve been waiting for this for two years”he smiles.
