Almost ten years after the first film Gosh !, Charlotte de Turckheim is back with the sequel. On December 22, 2021, spectators will be able to meet at the cinema Nina (played by Lola Dewaere) and Emilie (played by Catherine Hosmalin), as well as other characters imagined for this second feature film.
After having played a secondary role for the first time, the director Charlotte de Turckheim this time gives life to a main character, that of Isabelle, Nina’s aunt. “I did not have the choice ! The producers and our partners found that my maternal and benevolent side suited the character of Isabelle perfectly., she explains in the press kit accompanying the film. I don’t particularly like acting when I’m directing because what fascinates me at that time is the directing. But in the end, it helped me a lot.“
In Thin So 2!, aunt and niece open a “fasting and detox” cure in the heart of Provence, with the help of Baptiste, yogi and handyman, Jessica, tantric masseuse, and Maxime, attractive equitherapist. Among the first curists, four overweight adolescents sent by the Town hall, Marion and Lio, her skinny sister who imposed the treatment “for her own good”, and their friend Émilie who, relieved of her extra pounds, barely discovered that her beloved husband swoons in the arms of a man … clearly overweight!
I like to shoot with my family
On December 9 in Paris, at the UGC Ciné Cité Les Halles cinema, Catherine Hosmalin, Dominique Besnehard, Charlotte de Turckheim and several other actors from the film were gathered for a joyful preview. Before that, Slim then 2! had already been presented last summer, during the 14th Angoulême Francophone Film Festival (see slideshow). Charlotte de Turckheim was then able to count on the presence of her daughter Johanna (30), who also plays in the film. “I like to tour with my family. To be in a tribe, in a troop“, explained his famous mother.
Gosh ! had counted nearly 1.5 million admissions when it was released in 2012. Since then, it has returned to television regularly (it will also be broadcast in prime time Sunday, December 19 on W9) and still entertains viewers. “This does not prevent me from living the release of this sequel as if it were a first film.“, nuance Charlotte de Turckheim. See you on December 22 in dark rooms!
