Skeleton | Canadian Mirela Rahneva takes bronze

(Winterberg, Germany) Canada’s Mirela Rahneva captured bronze in skeleton at the World Cup in Winterberg, Germany on Friday.



Rahneva completed both rounds of the event with a combined time of one minute and 53.97 seconds. She was beaten by the Dutch Kimberley Bos and the German Tina Hermann, in order.

This was the 10e Rahneva’s career medal on the Skeleton World Cup circuit.

The other representative of the maple leaf entered in this competition, Jane Channell, ended in 12e square.

On the men’s side, Russian Alexander Tretyakov triumphed in 1: 51.05. The podium was completed by Germans Axel Jungk and Christopher Grotheer, respectively.

Canadians Mark Lynch and Kyle Murray failed to advance to the second set, and they tied for 27e echelon.
