six new arrests in the Teppes district

New arrests in the narcotics community in Annecy. Just over three weeks later the important dragnet in the Teppes district (nine people arrested in a building on rue Léandre Vaillat, 166,000 euros seized), a new wave of arrests took place on April 20, not far from the first deal point, we learned on Tuesday from a judicial source. .

Vendors and lookouts

Last March, the police first arrested those who are at the head of the network, nine people aged 16 to 24, who engage in an impressive traffic: more than 10,000 euros in turnover generated per day. Three weeks after this operation, the police find that another deal point has been reactivated not far from the first.

This time, the traffickers take possession of an apartment in a building in the neighborhood where a disabled adult lives under guardianship. They store the drugs there, and the apartment also serves as a point of sale. New net, last Wednesday, April 20 in the early morning, six people were arrested at their homes. They are lookouts and sellers who all belonged to the first dismantled network.

An electric bike at 6,000 euros

Drugs are again seized by the investigators: 100 grams of cocaine, 300 grams of cannabis (grass and resin), as well as an electric bicycle worth 6,000 euros and 2,600 euros in cash. Three of the suspects were placed in pre-trial detention and two others were placed under judicial supervision with a ban on going to the Teppes district. The sixth person, the “nurse” where the drugs were stored, was released.

The Annecy prosecutor’s office reports that police personnel are still maintained in the area for enhanced surveillance. The investigation is continuing within the framework of the judicial investigation opened since November 18, 2021, in particular for “acts of drug trafficking and criminal association”.
