A village of pumpkins
The quintessential Halloween emblem, the pumpkin is in the spotlight at Citrouilleville. Built on the Benoit Venier farm in Saint-Zotique, this ephemeral village includes various buildings made of cucurbits, including a church and a general store. A corn maze, carnival games, a play and self-picking squash are among the activities offered on the site.

The Legend of McTavish
According to legend, Simon McTavish made a pact with the devil to build a large castle on Mount Royal. Want to hear his mysterious story? A lamplighter straight out of the 19th centurye century tells it to Pointe-à-Callière. However, be on the lookout. Some say McTavish’s ghost haunts the museum’s main sewer. A show for ages 8 and up.

In a neighborhood near you
To celebrate Halloween, many free activities are organized in the various municipalities of Quebec. In Montreal, for example, activities for children, a fall rally and pumpkin decorating workshops are planned at the Jean-Talon market on Saturday, October 22, as part of the Folies d’automne. The following Saturday, go to the Promenade Masson. In addition to being able to meet many mascots, children and adults will be able to go through one of the two “tunnels of mysteries”.
The Fall Folies will be held on October 22, starting at 10 a.m., at the Jean-Talon market. The Massonloween event will take place on October 29, starting at 11 a.m., on the Promenade Masson.
A labyrinth populated by witches
Witches and wizards have invaded the course of SOS Labyrinthe, in the Old Port of Montreal. Families are invited to explore the 2 km route specially decorated in a festive way for Halloween. They will have to find the four treasures hidden in the labyrinth. A discount is offered to costumed visitors.

Walk with Specters
Discovering Old Quebec in the company of a ghost who lived in the era of New France: that’s what Les promenadesphantoms offers. On the occasion of Halloween, Marie Rivière, wife of an executioner, will guide the curious for more than two hours through the streets steeped in the history of Quebec. On their way, the group will meet about fifteen gloomy characters. A terrifying way to learn more about the past of the city and its inhabitants. The activity is recommended for people aged 10 and over.

Big screen horror
Horror movie fan? The Ciné-parc Saint-Eustache will thrill nostalgic moviegoers with the free screening of films the exorcistin French, and A Nightmare on Elm Street, in English, on Friday, October 28. The next day, the family film The Goonies will be presented. Organized by the BD Patlow comics store, this Halloween weekend at the Saint-Eustache Flea Market will be punctuated by various activities, including carnival games and a pumpkin contest. Of the cosplayers will also be there.
The films will be presented on October 28 and 29. The other activities will take place from Friday to Sunday.
