Sidney Crosby continued his momentum with two points in the Pittsburgh Penguins’ 3-2 win over the New York Rangers on Tuesday at PPG Paints Arena.

Midway through the third period, the team captain took matters into his own hands. He charged towards goalkeeper Igor Shesterkin and struck without warning after receiving a skillful pass from Jake Guentzel. In the end, his 18th of the season was the winning goal.
The number 87, who now has 42 points in 32 games, also got an assist on his team’s first goal, scored by teammate Evgeni Malkin.
Chris Kreider scored both goals for the New York squad, but his efforts weren’t enough.
The “Pens” therefore overcame Rangers in the first clash between the two teams this season. They also took the opportunity to steal the third place in the standings in the Metropolitan division.
Travis Konecny gives Flyers victory

The Blue Jackets’ response came from the sticks of Kirill Marchenko, Kent Johnson and Andrew Peeke.
The “Leafs” surprise the Lightning
At Scotiabank Arena, the Toronto Maple Leafs snapped the Tampa Bay Lightning’s five-game winning streak with a 4-1 victory.
The Florida formation was unresponsive to the attacks of the Leafs. The Canadian club took the lead late in the first period thanks to Michael Bunting’s 100th career point. The latter fired a one-time shot that broke the vigilance of Andrei Vasilevskiy. Austin Matthews added on early in the second period and the Torontonians never looked back.
Forwards Pierre Engvall and William Nylander guaranteed victory for their third in an empty net. Vladislav Namestnikov is the only one to have managed to outsmart Matt Murray in the “Bolts”.
