Shots fired in Saint-Michel

Gunshots were heard overnight from Saturday to Sunday in the Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension borough in Montreal.

The shots reportedly occurred around 2:45 a.m. near the intersection of 6e avenue and Villeray.

Following the shots, witnesses reportedly saw a suspicious vehicle leave the scene, said the spokesperson for the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM), Mariane Allaire Morin.

When police arrived, no victims or suspects were located. Casings were however found on the ground.

The scene is currently protected and investigators assisted by the canine unit are on site to understand all the circumstances surrounding this event.
