On the evening of Thursday, March 9, a shooting took place in Hamburg (Germany), in a center of Jehovah’s Witnesses. There would be at least 7 dead and many injured. Friday morning, “German investigators seem convinced that the assailant is among those who died. In fact, when arriving on the scene Thursday evening, the police heard, after the first shots, a last shot which came from the upper part of the building. So they went to check on the floors and actually found a lifeless body which is possibly, according to them, the assailant.explains Laurent Desbonnets, correspondent for France Télévisions in Berlin.
The motives of the assailant remain unknown.
“The police say that there is no information, according to them, on the existence of a second shooter who is still at large. A large part of the security alert system which had been deployed Thursday evening was therefore lifted a few hours ago now, but many investigators are still on site to try to understand precisely the circumstances of this shooting, and also to understand what the motives of the assailant could be. There is no reliable information on this subject, says the police, for the moment”says Laurent Desbonnets.
