Emergency services received a call shortly after 1 p.m. for gunshots on rue Normandin, near boulevard le Carrefour. The suspect or suspects fired from a vehicle before fleeing, according to the Laval Police Service (SPL), which was unable to provide a description.
The victim, a 33-year-old man known to the police, was injured in a leg and transported to a hospital. We don’t fear for our life.
Investigators were dispatched to the scene and a security perimeter was erected.
This is the second shooting in two days in the Chomedey sector.
Last night from Saturday to Sunday, still in the Chomedey sector, a car carrying five members of the same family was the target of several shots on Curé-Labelle Boulevard following a party organized in the Paragon reception room.
A 28-year-old man died in connection with this shooting.
