A man killed seven people before taking his own life at the Jehovah’s Witness center in Hamburg, Germany, Thursday, March 9. The police are continuing their investigations to trace the profile and the path of the killer.
One by one, the bodies of the victims came out, in black bags, from the center of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Hamburg (Germany). It is in this place that at least eight people, including the assailant, died on Thursday March 9. The day after the shooting, the authorities continue to carry out investigations and were able to trace the profile of the killer who killed himself after the attack. “The shooter was found dead in the Jehovah’s Witnesses church, having apparently turned the gun on himself. He was a former member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses and he voluntarily left the community a year and a half ago”says Thomas Radszuweit, head of the Hamburg police.
Many gunshots
A particular emotion for Olaf Scholz, the German Chancellor, former mayor of Hamburg. “My thoughts are with the victims and their loved ones, as well as those whose lives were so brutally snuffed out.”, did he declare. The attack took place around 9:15 p.m., in the midst of a meeting of Jehovah’s Witnesses. On images, we hear many gunshots. The man first fired through the window, before entering the premises. According to the German press, around fifty people were inside this church and the rapid arrival of the police prevented a more dramatic toll.
