In November 2019, Christophe Dechavanne declared in the columns of Parisian, to be saddened by the fact that his career as an animator is up and down. “A 61-year-old white man is not what we are looking for on TV” lamented the host.
The former presenter of the programs “Une famille en or”, “Coucou c’est nous” and “La Ferme Celebrities” explained that he had been sidelined although he was a force of proposal and that he had already tried to launch a new talk show or program on ecology on TF1. “With TF1, I have no contract, no project. Twenty times, I offered them a big evening on ecology called Tomorrow belongs to you. Twenty refusals”.
And after waiting several years for TF1 to offer him something, Christophe Dechavanne decided to slam the door of the first channel. We learn that the famous host will make his big comeback on television… on France 2! Following the departure of Laurent Ruquier at the presentation of the program “We are live” on Saturday, the host was indeed chosen to replace him on this time slot.
As revealed by Le Parisien, the new program will be called “We can no longer say anything” and will revolve around 7 or 8 personalities, all with a cheerful band of columnists. The start of the new school year promises to be busy for Christophe Dechavanne since he will also present the program “Les orages de la vie” on Belgian television.
