In a brief press release released Monday afternoon, the Sexual Assault Section of the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) indicates that it “seeks to identify potential victims in a file of sexual assault that occurred in 90s ”.

It indicates that the accused, Bobby Potvin alias “LEAR”, appeared before the Court of Quebec on July 26, in a sexual assault case.

Now 57 years old, the man is 1.83 meters tall, weighs 104 kilograms, has green eyes and brown hair. He speaks French first.

Because they have good reason to believe that the accused could have caused other victims, the authorities ask anyone who has been “victim of this man” or who has relevant information to transmit to call 514-280- 8502, in order to speak with an investigator.

Info-Crime Montréal’s anonymous and confidential service can also be reached by dialing 514-393-1133, or via its website at infocrimemontreal.ca
