We live in Saint-Hippolyte where we were strongly affected. Hundreds of trees were uprooted, smashing electrical wires, collapsing on houses, like my home. Hydro-Quebec wooden poles were damaged, liquids were leaking from them on the edges of the riparian strips of our lake.

Fontainebleau, Eastern Townships
We live in Fontainebleau and we lost electricity yesterday at 5:08 p.m. We have two toddlers, six months supply of breast milk in the freezer…. Fortunately, our neighbor is kind enough to share his generator with us so that we can eat and save what’s in the fridge and freezer. I hope that Hydro-Québec will be able to restore power quickly.
