The seven balconies of a seven-story building in Antibes (Alpes-Maritimes) collapsed on Sunday evening, without causing any casualties, France Bleu Azur reported on Monday April 14.

Seven other balconies which make up the facade on the other side of the building are also in danger of collapsing. The building has been completely evacuated and a security order will be drawn up by the municipal services for 24 housing units.

In total, 33 firefighters were mobilized on site, supported by 13 engines. A security perimeter has been set up to prevent access to the area. Residents of surrounding buildings, who had been evacuated, returned to their homes.
