Toxic relations with his mother and a difficult childhood on which the artist at the dawn of his 80 years wished to return: “We washed the linen in the only room where we lived. It was a terrible time. We washed in a basin, and not entirely every day! We washed once a week to go to mass. It was a life like in the Dickens years, almost,” the artist recalled. Difficult years that allow him today to keep his feet on the ground.
