After children, seniors are also becoming addicted to screens, according to a new study. More than one in two people over 60 scroll through messages or social media without even paying attention.

In a few minutes, bridge lessons for retirees, but first, everyone keeps their eyes glued to their screens. No question of missing the latest messages received. “It turns out that my children are all in the four corners of the world, so it’s a bit like my umbilical cord,” jokes a retiree. “It’s very practical, it’s a tool that I couldn’t do without. If I don’t have it, well, I’m completely naked, I have nothing left. I feel helpless, I don’t I don’t know where I’m going.”admits Véronique Blanchard.

Several hours a day on games

Useful for getting around, for communicating, but also for entertainment. Most of these seniors indicate, in fact, that they spend several hours a day playing online games. In France, average screen time is increasing among seniors, but more than a third of them want to break away from their phone.
