Senegal winner for the first time in its history

Senegal won the African Cup of Nations (CAN), for the first time in its history! A victory in the final against Egypt on penalties (4 shots to 2) after extra time and a draw 0 everywhere in the Olembé stadium in Yaoundé (Cameroon). The star of the evening is called Sadio Mané, the last shooter in the penalty shootout of this suspenseful CAN final. He and the whole team of the “Lions of Teranga” offered this Sunday evening a first title of African champion in Senegal.

In Dakar, the Senegalese capital, the supporters burst their joy and took to the streets. They celebrated the victory all night long.

Same scenes of jubilation in Paris, where supporters flocked to the Champs-Elysées. The police dispersed them with tear gas during the night.
