Tension continues at Sciences Po Paris, where the police intervened on the morning of Friday May 3 to evict the students who were occupying the campus.
The CRS peacefully dislodged the pro-Palestinian students from Sciences Po Paris. The images were filmed by the strikers around 11:30 a.m. on Friday May 3. Outside, exfiltrated in small groups, they claimed that seven of them had started a hunger strike. “The student community will remain strong and mobilized for Palestine until our demands are heard”said one of them.
Occupations at Sciences Po Reims and Lyon
The occupation began on Thursday evening, despite the major debate organized within the establishment. The strikers question the links between Sciences Po and Israeli universities. The president of the Union of Jewish Students of France (UEJF), Samuel Lejoyeux, came to try to discuss. At Sciences Po Reims (Marne), three other students have also started a hunger strike and there are around a hundred occupying the premises. As in Paris, the premises of Sciences Po Lyon (Rhône) were evacuated in the morning.
