A two-month-old infant died of COVID-19 on Thursday, the CHU Sainte-Justine announced.
The child was healthy from birth. He was admitted to intensive care “recently” after contracting the virus, said the hospital center in a press release.
The Sainte-Justine University Hospital recalls that babies are more at risk of developing complications related to COVID-19. The hospital offers its condolences to the family, and will not release further details.
