Sainte-Brigitte-de-Laval: a 23-year-old Ontarian causes a collision

While he had one more drink in his head, a 23-year-old man from Ontario caused a collision Sunday evening, in Sainte-Brigitte-de-Laval, in the Capitale-Nationale.

The driver, who was with two passengers, was driving on Ste-Brigitte Avenue shortly after 6 p.m. when he collided head-on with another vehicle coming from the opposite direction.

The driver of the vehicle and his two Ontario companions suffered minor injuries, while the other driver was not injured, said Jean-Philippe Bibeau, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec.

The 23-year-old Ontarian was arrested for impaired driving before being released on recognizance, Sergeant Bibeau said.

The scene was appraised by a reconstructionist, while the investigation which is in progress risks leading to charges of impaired driving causing injury, it was added.
