A man was arrested Friday evening in connection with the murder of a fifty-year-old man that occurred in broad daylight in Saint-Lin-Laurentides on Wednesday.
The 47-year-old man was arrested in Saint-Lin-Laurentides on Friday, according to a press release issued by the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).
Last Wednesday, a 51-year-old man was found shot in broad daylight, around 3:30 p.m., in Saint-Lin-Laurentides. He later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
The suspect will be met and detained before appearing by videoconference at the Joliette courthouse on Saturday. Searches will be carried out, according to the SQ.
Many police officers, patrol officers and SQ investigators were mobilized for the investigation leading to the arrest.
