On August 15, the gymnast from Annonay in the Drôme, and who evolves at the France pole of Saint-Étienne had indeed won the bronze medal on uneven bars at the European Championships in Munich. However, at the end of her performance she had collapsed at the reception, knee injury. The verdict has therefore fallen, for the second time in two years, Lorette Charpy is the victim of a rupture of the cruciate ligaments.
Last year in training she suffered a complete rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament. The young woman had to be operated on and had to cancel his participation in the Tokyo Olympics. She returned to competition this year, in April, winning gold on bars and silver on beam at the World Cup in Baku. But, at the end of June, she was injured again and had to take a rest and give up the French championships at the beginning of July.
