Russian missile attack kills two in Mykolaiv region

A Russian missile attack left two dead and one injured in the Ukrainian region of Mykolaiv, located in the south, the Ukrainian emergency service communicated on Wednesday evening, October 18. At 8:30 p.m. local time (7:30 p.m. in Paris), “the enemy launched a missile attack on one of the [localités] from Mykolaiv district. Two people died and one person was injured under the rubble of a catering establishment”said the emergency service on Telegram.

“As a result of the impact, residential buildings and an agricultural business were also damaged”, added the same source. According to the region’s governor, Vitaliy Kim, the strike targeted the village of Stepove, about 45 kilometers northeast of Mykolaiv.

During the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, Russian missile strikes on the city of Zaporizhia (southeast) and the region of Dnipropetrovsk (center-east) left at least six dead, according to Ukrainian authorities.
