(Toronto) Royal Bank announced on Tuesday that it has acquired MDBilling.ca, a cloud-based platform that automates billing for Canadian physicians.

Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
The Royal has clarified that its new acquisition will join Dr Bill, another medical billing company she got her hands on in 2020.
MDBilling.ca serves physicians in Ontario and British Columbia.
The Toronto-based company was founded in 2008 and is used by nearly 9,000 physicians.
MDBilling.ca co-founder and CEO Jaime Wong said the deal represents a tremendous opportunity for its employees and customers as it enters its next phase of growth.
